I apologize for the delay in posts. It has been a bit of a rollercoaster adjusting to being back at home.
I certainly cannot claim that I scathed by asymptomatically from the chemotherapy and transplant.. I have my fair share of daily battles.. But my recovery team is finally in place and next week starts doctors appointments and hopefully more strides in the right direction.
But I wanted to share with you today. Today was a great day. I felt more like myself than I have in years. I definitely did not return home with the same body… Tomorrow may prove to be an entirely different struggle, but it was a day like today that filled me with such hope of what is to come.
This morning I was able to take a 30 min walk outside and even made a quick trip to Target! (I have enough stem cells to not be mask mode dependent as long as there are no crowds, allergens, or sick people nearby.) I don’t think I have ever been quite as excited to be back in an American store! And it’s been a long time since I’ve seen the views from home…
*Also stay tuned. I have a few much more significant things to relay. It is just taking me a little longer to gather my thoughts and find my voice.
Until then, I just want to revel in today’s victory. <3
